On October 1, 2026, Path Forward Partners turned eight. We founded the firm in Oakland in 2018 to help property owners, developers, and lenders get through environmental problems and move their projects forward. Since then we’ve worked on hundreds of properties across California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Texas.
What we’ve been working on this year
This was one of our busiest and most rewarding years so far:
- Expanding into Nevada. In May we began offering Nevada environmental consulting services, supported by our new Certified Environmental Manager credential.
- Shaping housing policy. Path Forward testified in support of SB 1258, which streamlines housing on Cortese List infill sites. Faster housing on previously contaminated land is a goal we work toward with clients every day.
- Explaining the SB 445 UST deadline. Path Forward spoke with ABC7 about what the SB 445 deadline means for owners of underground storage tank sites and the cleanup costs they could face.
- New Bay Area soil reuse capacity. The Stevens Creek Quarry reclamation project received regulatory approval, giving Bay Area developers a new, affordable option for clean fill and soil import.
What we do
Our team of geologists, engineers, and scientists supports projects from due diligence through regulatory closure:
- Due diligence: Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments for buyers, lenders, and developers
- Vapor intrusion: vapor intrusion assessments and vapor intrusion mitigation system (VIMS) design and implementation
- Site cleanup: soil, groundwater, and soil gas investigations, feasibility studies and remediation design, and construction oversight
- Regulatory strategy: negotiating with the Regional Water Board, DTSC, and local agencies toward no further action and low-threat closure
- San Francisco compliance: Maher Ordinance, Dust Ordinance, and ADMP/AAMP plans
Thank you
Eight years in, we’re grateful to the clients, partners, and agency staff who trust us with their most complicated sites. We’re proud of the team that does the work.
